Spec Commercial for Rettergut – “What Was I Made For”
“Because it’s the inner vitamins that count.”
For the multi-award-winning spec commercial “What Was I Made For”, directed by Anja Giele, 2RAW collaborated with the Ludwigsburg Film Academy to create a meaningful and emotionally driven brand film for Rettergut.
The film tells Rettergut’s mission to reduce unnecessary food waste through the story of Stevie, a pea pod with one simple dream: making it to the supermarket shelf. After a gym accident triggers an existential crisis, Stevie is forced to confront an uncomfortable question — is compost his only future?
Through humor, heart and charm, the commercial highlights Rettergut’s belief that imperfect food still deserves a chance. The result is a witty and empathetic spec ad that combines strong storytelling with a clear sustainability message — finished with a pinch of Vitamin 2RAW.
